Making your home the best nest it can be

Gifting Idea #2 – Pining for you

Gift Idea # 2 – Pine Needle Bouquet

As I mentioned in my previous post, giving consumable gifts are sometimes the best. And handmade crafty ones are even better. It is fun for you (if you like channeling Martha Stewart – pre and post convict years) and your own creation is a thoughtful gesture.

I found these woodsy looking containers at a wholesale floral shop (same place I found the holiday tree urn in this post) and although I had no clue what I would do with them at the time, I knew they would spark an idea.

On the trip to the farm where the mini fir tree came from, I had bought holiday trimmings and swags. When I got home I took them apart and mixed them up to create arrangements for the containers. They needed a splash of color so I visited my local floral shop and purchased these decorative items to include.

I added some holly for the red berries and some tall twigs to give it more height.

You can give it with a nice bottle of wine (with a whacky Santa bottle topper of course) and chocolate to complete the gift!
